Summary

James Reade Venable's "The Devil Went down To Liege" has been shortlisted in the Storytelling category of 500px's Global Photography Awards.

This photo was taken during the shooting of a Belgium horror film in the summer of 2022. My wife was acting in the movie and I came along to babysit. The location was amazing as it was being shot in an abandoned workers hospital in Liege. It was very hot and the crew had invited me and the baby to come inside. While filming was going on I had my camera with me and decided to get creative. One of the actors was in his full makeup and I decided to take advantage of this. While exploring the grounds and smoking cigarettes we did a small shoot. The photo was one of the results.
