Hoopa Valley Storytelling Workshop
Students photographed their familia landscape utilizing the skills learned throughout the program.The workshop consisted of 18 three-hour classes over the course of six weeks. Guest lecturers included: award winning Magnum photographer, Peter Van Agtmael, and Photography Editor at Mother Jones Magazine, Mark Murrmann. Guest instructors included: award winning San Francisco Chronicle Staff Photographer, Carlos Gonzalez and award winning photographer, Alexandra Hootnick. The end of the program culminated in an exhibition (55 framed pieces) of the students’ best work curated by Mark Murrmann, held at a community space in Hoopa.
