These photos are of my child through my eyes because, of course, as a mother and a photographer, I am responsible for capturing memories for our little family. I tried to choose nuanced images that highlight my ability as a photographer and unique, interesting moments of my boy interacting with our community that reflect my take on motherhood. As a photographer, my standards for family photography are a bit higher. I want our images to be visually stunning, but also truthful.
Important caveat: I am never in our family photos. I am always behind the camera. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
