Private Story
Hospitalities
Should we welcome? In an era of contradictory globalization, when borders are closing, the issue of welcoming populations in search of protection and dignified living conditions has become crucial. The humanist values of a society marked by a succession of crises, the increase of inequalities, and the deterioration of the social bond, are challenged by the tragedies of migration and the social emergency. Going beyond ideology and militancy, some individuals decide not to close their eyes to what is happening before them and constitute a civil movement for whom hospitality is not a debate. Defying withdrawal and mistrust, from different generations and socio-professional backgrounds, they confront a brutal reality and get involved on a daily basis with exiles. By opening their homes to strangers or organizing places of refuge, alone or within communities or organizations, they share the conviction that welcoming exiled is a way of being human with other human beings. " Hospitalities " is an invitation to look at what makes society, experiences and stories where individual and collective trajectories meet.
