From Berlin, Germany, Wanda von Bremen is a visual artist and ecologist investigating new communication strategies on how to engage in meaningful and transformative ways with the most pressing ecological questions of our time. Wanda holds a Bachelor of Science in nature conservation and studied photography at the International Center of Photography in New York. Both degrees combined allow her to work in the intersection between conservation and communication.
She developed a unique approach merging ecology and art, opening up a totally new and fascinating work field with huge potential for our path towards a sustainable future. Her art practice wishes to form a new and profound appreciation for nature that will raise interest in its conservation, create awareness and unveiling that every organism is part of an interconnected system. She plays with the raw elements of nature like decay, fungi and algae, creating a visceral fell and instinctive interest.

Wanda won various competitions supporting alternative storytelling like the “call for new ideas” from Fotodemic or the call “system change projects” by Art Connect. She also participated in the group exhibition “Global Images for Global Crisis, curated by David Camapany.
