About

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Philosophy from St. Bonaventure University in Olean, NY. I developed an interest in becoming a working artist and photographer after displaying my work for the first time at a community arts show in 2003.  It took six years for that seed to grow. In January 2009 I opened my own photography business called Photographic Expressions based in Albany, NY. Then, in the fall of the same year, I enrolled in the MFA Photography program at the San Francisco based school, Academy of the Art University.  In the summer I will present my thesis project to the graduate panel and will graduate upon my thesis' approval.

Over the years my photographic work has evolved. I have moved from using photography as a purely mimetic device to employing the photographic medium as a means through which to speak, as an extension of my voice, my experiences, my hopes, my dreams, my failures and shortcomings as well as my triumphs. I believe that every photograph has the ability to open pathways for dialogue and conversations you and I might not otherwise have. I hope my images pave the way for a new, a shared and a collective human experience through which we will learn to understand one another and communicate more deeply.
