At the end of 2004 more tan 30.000 people died for the big Tsunami that destroyed a huge área of the Indonesia’s coast. Almost 1.300 people were beaten, in Sri Lanka, by a powerful wave while they were travelling on the train wich runs close to the sea side or waiting in its train stations. Today, after many years, most of the survivors have remade their houses, they remade their lives and they did it again in the very same place, without the slightest discourage With that kind of bravery that appears in the extreme situations. Knowing perfectly that their sea is their life.
These are just some portraits of anonimous people who face the camera fearless, with dignity, with a hard but nonthreatening way of looking. People who carry on day by day with hope and who will go on fighting. Because the life, as the waves, keep on beating.
