On the 3rd of July 2018, following reports a day earlier that seven policemen were murdered by unknown gun men while at their duty post and other numerous killings that have been reported in various parts (Jos, Plateau, Benue, Zamfara etc...) of the country mainly due to farmer-herdsmen clash, banditry and insurgency.

A coalition of civil society organizations led by “Enough is Enough” held a peaceful march to the presidential villa, demanding he solves the security crisis in the country.

Just like every other peaceful demonstration in this part of the world, they were met with a heavily armed policemen blockade.
