My series combines audio and visual elements, allowing the viewer to hear the subject express themselves in their own words while adding a deeper personal connection to the visual components. By exploring unconventional religious and spiritual practices, the series provides an in-depth look into the unique history of the practices themselves and unbiasedly depicts the subject's personal experience. It supports the notion of how critically important it is for people of color's stories to be documented accurately and ethically.
