In Collaboration with Grün Berlin and New School of Photography Berlin (Neue Schule für Fotografie Berlin) Native invites photographers from Mexico to apply for an opportunity to be featured in an online and in-person exhibition around the theme of the environment.

En colaboración con Grün Berlin y la New School of Photography Berlin (Neue Schule für Fotografie Berlin), Native invita a fotógrafes de México a aplicar para tener la oportunidad de ser incluida/o en una exposición virtual y en persona, alrededor del tema del medio ambiente.

As a commitment to elevate themes that are crucial to our survival as a species, Native wants to celebrate work that covers changes in our climate and its effect on our regions, peoples and landscapes.

Como un compromiso para resaltar temas que son cruciales para nuestra supervivencia como una especie, Native quiere celebrar el trabajo que cubre cambios en nuestro clima y sus efectos en nuestras regiones, personas y paisajes.

Photographers are invited to send a finished body of work on the theme of the environment in their region. The selected photographer will join another two photographers, from Colombia and Argentina, in two collective exhibits to be shown in Berlin at the end of 2020 and through the first half of 2021.

Invitamos a fotógrafes a enviar un cuerpo de trabajo finalizado sobre el tema del medio ambiente en su región. La fotógrafa o el fotógrafo seleccionada/o acompañará a otras/os dos fotógrafas/os, de Colombia y Argentina, en dos exposiciones colectivas en Berlín al finalizar el 2020 y durante la primera mitad de 2021.

Photographers are expected to send in work to be considered by December 1 before 23:59 EST (New York Time).

Las/os fotógrafes deben enviar la obra para consideración hasta el 1 de diciembre antes de las 23:59 EST (hora local Nueva York).

Please send in the following through: WETRANSFER to
  • A short edit of the work: in jpegs with AP style captions in the metadata. 
  • A short introduction to the work and how it relates to the environment: water, climate change, deforestation etc. 
  • A short bio in English and Spanish.
  • A link to your website and social media handles.

Information about the exhibition: 

The exhibition will be shown at Ausstellungszentrum Pyramide in Berlin Hellersdorf (February/March 2021) and New School of Photography (June 2021) and online.

The license fee for this exhibition will be 500USD, for a one-time use of the work + promotion. The exhibition will be shown for 6 months with possible renewal with the artist’s approval. The artists will be invited to talk about their work through a digital artist talk towards the end of December. We also want to invite the photographers to join a series of online discussions and workshops in order to engage in conversation about the topic of a changing environment and the role of photography in it.

Información sobre la exposición: 

La exposición tendrá lugar en la Ausstellungszentrum Pyramide en Berlin Hellersdorf (febrero/marzo de 2021), en la New School of Photography (junio 2021) y en línea.

Los honorarios de uso de la obra para esta exposición serán de USD 500, por un (1) uso de la obra + promoción. La exposición tendrá una duración de 6 meses con una posible renovación con la autorización de la/el artista. Las/os artistas serán invitados a hablar de su obra a través de una charla digital entre artistas hacia finales de diciembre. También queremos invitar a las/los fotógrafes a participar en una serie de debates y talleres en línea, para hacer parte de la conversación sobre el tema del cambio en el medio ambiente y el rol de la fotógrafe en él.
