The sheer immersion in colour in the "Flower Power Series Pop Art" allows us to dwell with lenticular attention on the founding idea of Monica's photography, which is the set-up of the scenes that contain beauty within nature, the contemplation and sublimation of it. In the "Sexy Pop Fruit Series," the reflection takes on more minimal forms and subtle suggestions, playing with the misunderstanding of the homiletical and moralistic to speak instead of the unknowability and mystery surrounding sexuality, its irreducibility to mechanics, signs, directions, and education.
