This event empowered Annatu Sadat; she is the first to play in the Ghana Women's Premier League with her Hijab. Like many other places, the Hijab was not allowed on the field.
Speaking to young girls in her community at the 'hijab project' event, she said, "the thought of doing something right felt so great, and it meant a lot to me. I was delighted to be the Muslim girl to break the Women's Premier League boundaries. This is just a step; you can also take the next step," she encouraged the girls.
Annatu is a role model for future generations to come.
