Women still encounter various forms of stereotypes wherever they find themselves, and sports is no exception. 


These amazing Ghanaian athletes are challenging and overcoming these barriers to excel in their various fields. They represent women in sports who live with courage, enthusiasm and positivity. 


This photo essay seeks to encourage and pave the way for girls and women facing barriers in playing sports to move away from the fear of being stereotyped and bring out the champions within.
