I was born in Poland in 1976. After graduating in 2000 from university in Poland with a Master degree in Computer Science I moved to Hong Kong where I stayed for almost 4 years working at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In Hong Kong I bought my first camera and found out that such a thing as photography exists. Then in the end of 2004 I moved to Cardiff to work at University of Glamorgan as a Research Assistant and pursue a PhD in Computing. I left the univeristy in January 2009 and I have been working as a photographer since then, in the meantime completing my PhD studies in January 2010. Recently, together with Joni Karanka I have opened a photography gallery in Cardiff, called Third Floor Gallery.
I have worked on various projects home and abroad, travelling to more than 20 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. My main interests are social issues, humanitarian aid and development, travel, but most of all it is street photography. I have cooperated with various international NGOs and organizations. My photos have been published in various magazines and newspapers around the world. Recently my "Cardiff at Night" story was published in major British newspapers and other media around the world and it was discussed on the national British TV and radio.
