About

Known solely as “Lokey,” He has photographed for over fifteen years, and "Come see through my eyes,” his slogan, is the key to his unique vision.  Born and raised in Texas during the 1970s, he received his degree in photography from the Art Institute of Houston in 1998 in conjunction with The School of Photographic Studies in Prague in the Czech Republic. After moving to Phoenix in 1998, he worked as a freelance commercial photographer, providing live and promotional photos for local and national bands, individual musicians, models, and club openings in Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles and Mexico. Lokey also has been a staff photographer for publications in the Czech Republic, Houston and Phoenix. It was during this time that he developed the famed monthly section "Club Cam", featuring risqué and edgy photographs documenting the local nightlife for Java Magazine. Lokey has exhibited extensively throughout Arizona and Texas, and internationally in Brazil, Czech Republic and Germany. His "Hookers on Van Buren" and “Stealth Towers” series are the culmination of several years of photo documentation. Lokey’s avant-garde and street-smart approach asks the viewer to see the mundane and unique through his lens thus bringing a new focus to what is often missed. His work is available on various websites: LokeyPhotography.com, LokeyPhoto.com, LokeyTV.com and StealthTower.com.
