Lindsay Morris

Lindsay Morris received her BFA from the University of Michigan School of Art. Morris discovered her passion for photography on a yearlong Rotary Youth Exchange program in South Africa and continued her photographic studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with Barbara Crane, The School for International Training, Nairobi, Kenya, and with Joanne Leonard in Ann Arbor, MI.
Lindsay’s work has been published in TIME Magazine, New York Times Magazine, New York Magazine, Vanity Fair, Scientific American, GEO International, PDN, Marie Claire, Elle, Internazionale and has been featured on BBC News and NBC Nightly News.
Recent exhibitions include ICP, NY; The Newport Art Museum, RI; Parrish Art Museum, NY; Hamburg Triennial, Germany; Fotofest, Houston, TX; Photoville Brooklyn, NY; Catherine Edelman Gallery, Chicago, IL; and solo exhibitions at Guild Hall Art Museum, East Hampton, NY; Art Center at Duck Creek, East Hampton, NY; Clamp Art, NY; Outono Fotografico, Galiza, Spain; Rayko Photo Center, San Francisco, CA; and Center for Fine Art Photography, Fort Collins, CO.
Morris is a producer of the 2016 BBC documentary, My Transgender Summer Camp, and published her monograph, You Are You, documenting a summer camp for gender-creative children and their families in collaboration with Kehrer Verlag. Morris works as a freelance photographer and regular contributor to the New York Times. She resides with her family on Long Island's East End.
