Tomorrow, we will inaugurate the "Patriotic Games - Poland Siglo XXI" in Santa Coloma, Barcelona.
Almost 30 years ago, Poland fought to restore freedom and democracy. However, today it is a deeply divided country where the ruling party promotes the ideal of the Polish patriot as someone who is heterosexual, fervently Catholic, pro-military, and ultra-nationalist. Those who do not conform to this model are often marginalized as second-class citizens or branded as enemies of the country. In this exhibition, I aim to reflect on the current state of the country I left 25 years ago.
