I am drawn to the nuances of human emotions and how photographs have the power to shape people’s narratives and transform their perspectives. As a photographer, I recognize this extraordinary privilege of being able to listen, observe, and tell people’s stories, or the opportunity to empower them to tell their own. Being in the presence of other people’s experiences has informed me both in life and work, and I am always in deep gratitude for the transformation in perspectives it gives me.

So much of my focus has been driven and informed by my understanding and experience of motherhood. I have photographed and witnessed many stories about women and their role as matriarchs, but over time, it is the spaces at the beginning and end of life *within the context of motherhood* that have transformed me. Current projects include capturing the fertility challenges and chosen single parenthood of a Jewish woman in her mid-40s, documenting the grief space of women and families who have gone through the loss of a pregnancy or baby born still, and developing themes within the end of life space. On the more personal side, I use photography to explore ideas about my relationship with my daughters, their sisterhood, and my own identity.
