Fabiola Cedillo is an Ecuadorian photographer and educator. Engaged to following from the image the movements of adaptation and resistance of the human being in the face of social roles, desire, frustration and idealization; Part of her work focuses on the destigmatization of bodies and lives marginalized for not being normative.
Motivated to promote the production of stories in her region, in 2017 she created AULA / school of photography in Latin America, currently focused on visual education through the development of photographic projects and photobooks, in addition to creating specific programs for ethnic minorities, migrants and trans and/or non-binary people. Together with collaborators, she created laboratories to work on the body and image with people with physical and mental problems. She is co-founder of FotoAlbum, a platform for the dissemination of photography in public spaces in Ecuador and founder of the Cuenca f + 1 photography festival.
