Train Writers
This project is the result of two years of accompanying and documenting the clandestine activity and lifestyle of those known as “writers”. This term is used worldwide in urban slang to reference graffiti artists. The project features the different convoy train systems from several European countries. Among them are Spain, France, and Italy.
Writers often come together in what they call "crews", groups of friends with common hobbies. In this case, the main one is graffiti, but they also usually share others such as partying, music or drug use. However, not all of them move in groups, others prefer to go by themselves. For them, graffiti is adrenaline; a necessity. It's addictive. Little else makes them feel so alive. The illegality of this subculture is the epicentre. If painting trains were allowed, most would quit it. They get up every morning thinking about whether they can paint a wagon throughout the day.

This project won the 3rd prize at the Miravisions Awards in 2022.
