Suzanne Lee is a Malaysian-Chinese documentary photographer & independent photojournalist living between New Delhi, India and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

She works with international news publications such as The International Herald Tribune, The Guardian, The National and The Australian besides others, and also shoots regularly for Panos London, Bill & Melinda Gates FoundationHollandse Hoogte and Capa Pictures. Through Panos London, her work has also appeared in Svenska DagBladet, The Guardian’s award winning Global Development website and Poland’s Gazeta.pl.

Dividing her time between assignments and long-term personal projects throughout South and South-East Asia, Suzanne has also been working on a collaborative photo book project. In 2010, her works have been published in two books : The Mercy Project / Inochi by James Whitlow Delano for Hospice (Mado-sha publishing, Japan), and Malaisie - Modernité et traditions en Asie du Sud-est by Jerome Bouchaud (Editions Olizane, Switzerland).

In 2011, Suzanne was awarded a 3rd prize in the DAYS Japan International Photojournalism Award, while her work was nominated for the UNICEF/GEO Photo of the Year 2010. In 2007, she was a 1st runner-up in the Angkor Photography Festival Paris-Match Award

Suzanne has also exhibited her work in print and projection exhibitions in shows throughout Asia. Currently her works are touring Japan as part of the DAYS Japan 2011 award winners exhibitions. In November 2011, Suzanne's work was shown in the Angkor Photo Festival in Cambodia.
