Omar is a documentary photographer and aid worker. He has published humanitarian photography for various publications and the NGO Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF). His recent projects include 'Relief: Moments of Rest and Play', looking at leisure as one way people resist crisis and 'Preoccupied: A Sanaa Portfolio', a collection of street photography exploring the quieter side of the recent historic upheaval . When not photographing Omar does aid work. He has been involved in MSF health projects in Chad and South Sudan and visited prisons for the Red Cross in Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania, Iraq, Yemen and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
