Federak and his boss are trying to switch over all of their properties to heat pumps right now because it makes economic sense, because it’s more eco-friendly than gas, and because they don’t like having to support Russia by buying its gas. Mr Federak looks at the place where the pool will be. The pool water will be heated by a heat pump because the pool requires a lot of energy to maintain.

In the first weeks after the invasion of Ukraine, she removed the gas stove from her kitchen and replaced it with an induction one so that she could use less Russian gas. She celebrated the end of Russian gas in her kitchen by cooking an Easter meal with Ukrainian refugees.
