Born in 1975 in Poland, lived and worked in London and Sydney, currently based in Lublin, Poland. Graduated Culture and Psychology studies (MA) at UMCS in 2001. As a photographer is working commercially mostly on event and documentary photography, mostly for artists and cultural institutions. Personally devoted to street photography. Official Getty Images contributor. Published in online and print magazines world wide. Winner of several awards, shortlisted for several other awards. Currently starting a long-term photography project and preparing a series of street photography exhibitions and workshops. Originator and director of the Eastreet exhibition.
CREATIVE STATEMENT
I consider myself a documentary photographer using street photography techniques to explore, memorize and understand the reality I encounter. My main subject are people in the city with their everyday rituals, with a special focus on individuality in the crowd and anonymity in big cities. I’m interested in raw, unstaged and unposed presentation of reality through photography.
