Md. Akhlas Uddin

Md. Akhlas Uddin lives in Sylhet, Bangladesh . Starting from humble beginnings as a self taught photographer photography starting in 1995 today he is a highly awarded photographer and completed the Telling the Story International reportage workshop by OUC-PATHSHALA from South Asian Media Academy-PATHSHALA, Dhaka, in 2012. Presently he is the Organizing Secretary of Sylhet Photographic Society (SPS) Sylhet and contributor to the Drik Picture Agency in Bangladesh.
Some of his recent recognitions include ARTIST "AFIAP" distinction from The International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) in 2010, EFIAP Distinction (Excellence FIAP) in 2013. His work is published in Bangladesh national dailies, magazines, journal and books including A Day in the World, Positive Light Bangladesh, FCCT Magazine and many others. More than 300 exhibited and awarded photographs have been published in International exhibition catalogues, commemorative books and diaries and calendars. His photo story "Dedication to God" was first published in photojournale.com and has won the follwoing recognition FINALIST, INTERNATIONAL IMAGE CONTEST, FINI 2013 Mexico and Finalist, Snowden Photography Competition 2013, Nominated for Prix Picket Award 2013.
