Another part of working as a photo editor at the Columbia Missourian was collaborating with the design desk to create a page that best showcased the photos for a given story. This task meant being the ‘voice of photo’ to ensure the best photos would be printed. I learned how to vocalize my reasoning for wanting certain photographs on the page and listened to how the design would impact the photos.
