January 5, 2019 - Budapest, Hungary:  March Protest against the enactment of the recent labour law, also called “Slave Law’ as it allows employers to increase workers’ duty time. People were marching from Heroes’ Square to Kossuth Square, asking for democracy and calling a general strike.
The event was joined by representatives from main opposition parties (Jobbik, MSZP), Unions (Általános sztrájk; EVDSZ - Egyesült Villamosenergia-ipari Dolgozók Szakszervezeti Szövetsége) political organizations (Momentum), students, teachers and other members of the civil societies denouncing the unfairly conditions prescribed in the law. A small group continued the protest in front of Margit Bridge.
