Aliona Kondyurina was born in Moscow in 1981. She studi
ed photojournalism at the
School of Visual Arts, Moscow, and attended Tatyana Danil
yantz’s short film
programme at the VA school, as well as "Photography as a
research" programme at
Fotodepartament Bureau, St. Petersburg. Her works were
featured in a number of
group exhibitions in Moscow, Uglich and London. One of the finalists of Photovisa international contest, Multimedia category, with photomovie "Dargil". .
Together with VSO organization in November 2011 she ha
d an exhibition of her "Pamir"
photo-project in London, "Tajikistan@20" in the "Apri
cot gallery". Alena lives in Moscow
where she works as a freelance photographer for various ma
gazines and pursuing a
number of personal projects
