This is the story of my grandparents.  Two strokes and a diagnosis of vascular dementia, she is his only caretaker.  This story is equally about the eventual loss and death of her husband as it is about the sacrifices she has made to care for him in her own senior age.  This personal glimpse into my grandparents' life is a version of what thousands are dealing with as populations around the world continue to age and spouses unexpectedly embrace the role of untrained caretaker.  Forgetting the lifestyle that once brought her happiness, she now experiments with tactics to navigate the consequence of age and marriage in the confines of the home they have lived in since the 80's.  This is about the vows she swore to uphold.  It is about life, death, and the meaning of duty.
