Born in Syria, photograhper Alaa Hassan moved out of Damascus tand is now based in New York since 2013.
Alaa's first book "Cardboard Castle" will be released in January 2017. It is a documenation of Damascus from a socio-political point of view. Mainly covering urban development and visual identity of Damscus.
Alaa is also producer of the award winning documentary "The War Show". Released 2016 and winner of the Venice days award and others. The War Show will be showing in the US in February 2017.
