Skya Theobald is a young award-winning writer, director, and actress who grew up on Long Island, New York, and is studying at Stanford University. She has been writing, directing, and producing her own films since she was 15. Many of her pieces are simple, short and sweet stories involving everyday conflicts faced by teens. Her one act plays, “At The Mathews, “Her Train,” and “All For One and One For All” have been finalists at the LIC One Act Festival where she was awarded Best Director for her direction of "All For One and One For All". Her most recent short films have been featured in festivals such as THE HER INTERNATIONAL Film Festival, the Femme Fatale Film Festival, the Stanford Poetry into Film Festival where her film "Blue Handprints" was awarded Best Film, and the International World Photography Awards where "Blue Handprints" won best Micro Short Film and her film "Make Room" won best Short Film, and the Immagina Florence Film Festival where "Make Room" won Best Indie Short Film.
