Senthil Kumaran is a documentary photographer and Filmmaker from South India who has been documenting Human-animal conflict straight from the fields for over a decade.
He has documented the Human -tiger conflict emphasizing tiger conservation and the livelihood issues of the tribes who are living within the tiger reserves.
Senthil is also working on a research project that covers the extinction of the coral reefs and erosion of the small islands surrounding the Gulf of Mannar Biosphere. 
Recently he has documented the primitive tribes who tame the wild elephants in South India.
Currently, he is documenting the Human- elephant co-existing issues and their mitigation measures in south India, also more focused on crop-raiding elephants and their behavioral changes and their associated lifestyle issues.
In 2014, Senthil received a Hope Demulder grant for his documentary on the Illegal animal Trade happening in the Grey market of Cambodia.
He won more than 15 international awards that include, POYi, Geographical photographer of the year, World Report Award, and his works have been displayed in over 20 countries worldwide.
In   2019, he have been selected as the 6x6 Global Talent artist from Asia by  World Press Photo.
In 2021, Senthil got an Emerging Explorer Award from the National Geographic Society.
Now he is doing underwater photography and conservation films for NGOs and Forest Departments.
