Sima Gol, who is 22 years old says:
I am a student of graphic arts, and since the beginning of the new government in Afghanistan, all the girls in this field have stopped studying.
I have been painting for four years, and I have been teaching painting privately for about a year, and I also teach free lessons for disabled girls.
During the former government, I used to sell a lot of paintings, and my works have been exposed in several foreign exhibitions.
But now, the art of painting is not as flourishing as it used to be, many of my students are no longer interested in continuing painting. I am still trying to encourage girls by holding drawing classes so that they don't get depressed and disappointed.
I never want to give up my art! I will achieve what I desire, even if I am in the corner of the house.
