My photographs explore dark corners of remembrance and identity, while looking at the medium of photography and my own desire through a prism, breaking them apart, cataloging them. The work traces my longing to understand how time is trapped inside the photograph, like a fossil in rock. I hope to reveal the vulnerability of both my subject and medium, to expose the "text" that is hidden inside all of my pictures, as metaphor. I seek to index photography’s viscera through intentionality and accident, to examine the boundary of the real and the invented, the immediate and the hidden, the desirable and the grotesque. My work is both highly personal while also being relatable - the universal and the particular meet here. Additionally, the work explores my own feminine persona, though does not take a political position. Rather, I want to expose the subtexts, what is left unsaid, through my pictures.
