Alejandra Rosa (she/hers/they/them). Afro-Queer Non Binary Journalist, self-portrait artist, performer and poet born in Puerto Rico. Nieta of doña Sarah, and the daughter of a baker. Her writing on Puerto Rico’s recovery to Hurricane Maria have occupied eight frontpages of The New York Times. Her storytelling centers on black and queer decolonial experiences. Their imaginary exists under a constant negotiation between trauma, loss and mourning. Rosa’s work has been published in Africa, the U.S. and the Caribbean in platforms that include Time Magazine, The New York Times, ViceVersa Magazine, Revista Étnica & 80grados.
