The project was inspired by, and in response to The Polygon’s “Response: Our Land Narrative” workshop program, led by contemporary Indigenous artists and Knowledge Keepers in Fall 2020.
The place inside the head of False Creek explores ideas around loss and belonging, as I reflect on the history of SenÌ“áḵw, or ‘Kitsilano Reserve 6’, a parcel of land that is part of the unceded territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation).
Stay tuned as I will be drip feeding the story on Visura and launching the portfolio on my website on March 10.
Includes still photography, video and text.
