In Mississippi, the COVID-19 virus is tied to racial disparities. This important article from The Guardian highlights food insecurity in Holmes County, Mississippi — the poorest county in the poorest state. In response to the article, the superintendent of Holmes County Consolidated School District is now receiving donations — and this is the best news I've heard in weeks.
