Hold on, please
On Monday, May 3, 2021, at 22:22, Line 12 of the Mexico City subway collapsed
leaving 27 dead and 80 injured.
The event hit the most vulnerable group, those who woke up the earliest and went to bed the latest, people who lived in the outskirts, which left a deep wound that exposed the deficiencies of the busiest subway in Latin America.
A history of Mexico City's subway.
Beyond the technical challenge of not being able to use my camera inside, it was a unique opportunity to get to know the skeleton of this great city. Talking to people, watching its movement, feeling time pass in this shared territory. This is a personal edit with images that seem necessary to understand the pain, the fatigue, but also the love and illusion we experience every day that we go out and move.
