I was very much honored to get the opportunity to document about life on the lake side and got to learn a lot from the community inhabiting Rusinga Island on how they interact with nature that pretty much surrounds them and the sacred nature of their notable sceneries - hills and Lake Victoria which have always been tied to the community's mythical stories. During my daily interaction with the community, I got to learn a lot from their way of life which influenced these series of pictures compiled for this submission. Coincidentally Rusinga Festival was around the corner and we promised ourselves to show up and learn even much more about the Suba people's culture
Managed to get a still of one of the performers in action as he attempts to defy gravity while his friends watched closely. Safe to say he took a leap of faith.
