The story shares insights of the impact of lock-down due to covid -19 pandemic through the lens of the girls living with their grandmother in Uganda, Wakiso district, ssubwe subcounty. Namely Babirye, Nakato and Miracle who are 14 and 10 years respectively .it shows us a picture of how the girls live their daily lives and experiences of the lockdown.

due to the closure of schools, the girls were stuck at home, and resolved to learn another skill by learning tailoring from their grandmother. We see the wide activities that these girls are doing to get them through the lockdown, such as playing games with their friends, cooking, sowing, reading books and painting nails.

These are some of the things that are happening to most Ugandan households, where girls are stuck at home and having a lot of thoughts of what they’re missing out from school and how they are trying to re-invent themselves by learning an extra skill during the pandemic.
