Justin Hoch is a freelance documentary and portrait photojournalist based in New York City. Much of his work tells the story of the community of wrestling, which has taken him to Iran, Senegal, Russia, and many other countries documenting the world’s oldest sport. In addition to working with a number of editorial and corporate clients, collections of his images have been exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, and elsewhere, including Waterloo, Iowa, the home to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum. His work has been rewarded with wrestling-industry photographer and journalist of the year awards and he was a student at Eddie Adams Workshop XXXIII. He frequently works with non-profit institutions in a variety of fields.
