El 9 de febrero de 2023, Denilson Huaraca Vílchez de 22 años salió a protestar junto a 38 miembros de la comunidad de Huancabamba, Andahuaylas, como parte de las movilizaciones contra el gobierno y congreso peruano, sin embargo, fue el único que no pudo regresar. En la provincia de Aymaraes, durante el retorno a Huancabamba, un grupo de policías los emboscó y realizó disparos hacia los camiones donde se trasladaban. Una bala atravesó su pulmón provocándole la muerte. Tres días después, el 12 de febrero, Denilson, conocido como Uchita por sus hermanos mayores, fue despedido por una gran multitud. Hasta hoy, sus familiares continúan pidiendo justicia por Denilson.

As part of the protests against the Peruvian government and Congress on February 9, 2023, Denilson Huaraca Valchez, 22, went out to protest with 38 members of the Huancabamba community. He was the only one who could not return. As they were returning to Huancabamba, a group of police ambushed them and fired shots at their trucks in the province of Aymaraes. A bullet pierced his lung, causing his death. On February 12, Denilson, known as Uchita to his older brothers, was farewelled by a large crowd. Denilson's relatives continue to seek justice to this day.
