Venezuela: long road to escape the crisis
This crisis, recognized as one of the world's largest, has garnered attention from humanitarian entities, including UN agencies and NGOs. Amidst this turmoil, the Venezuelan diaspora plays a significant and sometimes overlooked role in supporting their compatriots.
Challenges stemming from economic difficulties and international pressures have forced the displacement of Venezuelans, both internally and externally. Over the past five years, Colombia has emerged as the primary destination for Venezuelan refugees and migrants, with 2,477,588 individuals entering the country as of March 2023.
