- Tell us more about the photo(s). What stands out to you now, looking back? Is there any additional context you’d like to share with our audience?
I have always felt that my best work has been the images I've taken of my children. Documenting them is what fuled my passion for documentary photography. When they were young and had no inhibitions, I was able to be a fly on the wall and capture so many intimate moments. I really miss those times because it has become much harder now that they are teenangers and young adults. - 2. Can you describe what it has been like being a mother? What are the challenges and triumphs, and what would you like readers to know about your experience? Being a mother has been my greatest reward. My love for them grows deeper day by day. We are all very close which I am truly greatful for. They are my best friends. I remember what it was like growing up, and I also know that in this day and age they have new challenges to face. I work really at keeping the lines of communication open and assuring them that their home is a safe place full of love and understanding.
- 3. What does motherhood mean to you? Motherhood means that I am responsible for raising loving, respectful and kind humans. I hope that the actions I have taken in life are ones that they will be able to look back on and be proud of. I hope that I have set examples that will lead them to go out into the world and do good on their own.
