My process in creating Miniature Novels is an organic one. Each portrait is a result of attentive observation of the subtlest gestures and interactions. Once I find someone that I connect with and would like to photograph, I craft my own internal narrative about their lives, dreams, fears, and aspirations, connecting the dots so that every image tells a story that reflects my own imaginings and projections.
Each photograph is an improvisation, a manifestation of my interpretation of this individual in a specific moment, a free-form unspoken conversation – a visual Miniature Novel.
