Private Story
Enlazadas
In Limoncito, a small town in the Bolivian Amazon, a mother and three daughters (the Lira family), formed a group of women weavers in defence of women’s rights.
Daughters, granddaughters and nieces use the group as part of their daily life to overcome stories of gender violence. Weaving, for these women, is a form of healing - a collective encounter with other communities; a braid woven from the strength that connects family and knowledge through generations.
