Jake Beyer

Before I could write I would tell stories to my Mom and get her to write them down. Then, when I was able to write stories, I turned them into videos and films. This has been the transformation that created the person I am today. I attended High School at a Technical school, learning the Film and Video industry hands-on, learning how to use some of the best techs in the industry, as well as learning how to use the RED cinema camera. In my senior year, I received a Regional EMMY® award for a film script. I then went on to produce and direct the Best Film in the PA section of the 10 Day Film Festival, which is considered one of the top film fest's for high schools in the nation, hosting to more than "4500" participants. Not only did my film (which I acted the main role, directed, edited, and wrote) win the Best Film for PA, it went onto nationals. It placed top 4 in acting, editing, cinematography, directing, and won for Best Screenplay. I now attend Temple University and have set a goal to win an Oscar for the college section. I am passionate about filmmaking and every morning I wake up eager to work on what's next.
