The city of Madrid (Spain) celebrates the traditional Holy Week during the first week of April in 2023. This catholic festivity is deeply rooted in Spanish society and it's part of the cultural imaginary of the country. The brotherhoods and congregations (which origins date back to the 16th century) carry out the processions representing different scenes of the Passion of Christ and his mother, Mary, in pain.
