Recent assignment for Le Monde

Not only was this assignment a wonderful opportunity to meet members of the Yurok Nation, but it was brilliant to see how the tribe are making huge strides forward by reclaiming their heritage. From decolonizing the justice system and teaching the Yurok language in schools to funding their own fisheries and forestry departments- the Yurok Nation are finding power in their voice and pride in their culture which is being passed on to the next generation.
