April 15, 2017 thousands of demonstrators joined together to tell President Donald Trump to release his tax returns. Hundreds of demonstrators stood in the street at Bryant Park, and along the Avenue of the Americas. I had arrived an hour early, securing a position in the Press area directly across from the speaker podium. Politicians and celebrities, included RWDSU President Stuart Appelbaum, NYC Comptroller Scott Stringer, New York State Senator Brad Hoylman, Democratic Representative District 9 Hakeem S. Jeffries, Comedian (activist) Sara Silverman, Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer, Bertha Lewis founder of the Black Institute, Beau Willimon founder of the Action Group Network, and NYC Public Advocate Latitia James and others all called for President Donald Trump to release his tax returns on April 15, 2017.
